Doubt (La Duda)

Sinopsis:
John Patrick Shanley lleva a la pantalla su obra de teatro titulada DOUBT (LA DUDA). Se trata de una historia sobre la búsqueda de la verdad, las fuerzas del cambio, y las devastadoras consecuencias de una justicia ciega en una época definida por las férreas convicciones morales.

Estamos en 1964, en la iglesia de San Nicolás, en el Bronx. El Padre Flynn (Philip Seymour Hoffman), un brillante y carismático sacerdote, intenta desafíar las estrictas reglas del colegio que la Hermana Aloysius Beauvier (Meryl Streep) lleva custodiando desde hace años con mano de hierro. Ella es la directora del colegio y cree ciegamente en el poder del miedo y la disciplina. Los cambios políticas están llegando a todos los estratos de la sociedad y la escuela acaba de aceptar a Donald Miller, su primer estudiante negro. Pero la Hermana James (Amy Adams), una pobre inocente, hace saber a la Hermana Aloysius que el Padre Flynn está prestando una atención demasiado especial a Donald, la Hermana Aloysius se siente obligada a emprender una cruzada para averiguar la verdad y para expulsar a Flynn del colegio. A pesar de carecer de una sola prueba que confirme la sospecha, la Hermana Aloysius se ve abocada a una lucha de poder con el Padre Flynn, que amenaza con destruir la iglesia y el colegio por sus devastadores consecuencias.

The Eleventh Hour HDTV - Season 1 - Temporada 1

Eleventh Hour, la nueva serie dramatica de Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI).

Siguiendo con las series de investigadores, la cadena CBS ha presentado esta serie, que se enfoca en un profesor que trabaja junto al gobierno para resolver cualquier problema o amenaza relacionado con el mundo científico.

La cadena está tan contenta con esta serie que ha decidido ubicarla junto a CSI, poniéndola en el lugar más importante de toda su programación, donde obtendrá un importante nivel de audiencia, que seguramente asegurará su futuro por el resto de la temporada.

El Dr. Jacob Hood es un brillante biofísico reclutado por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos como detective/científico para investigar el creciente número de crímenes y las crisis de naturaleza científica. Desde la clonación hasta las llamadas "curas milagrosas". Es un trabajo peligroso y al Dr. Hood lo acompaña y protege la agente del FBI, Rachel Young. La serie está basada en la miniserie británica Eleventh Hour de Stephen Gallagher.
